Why do I need ISF Calibration?
I 'm sure that the concept won't make you very happy, but no matter how much money you may
have spent, your television can't give you a good picture just by plugging it in. And no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to do all of the adjustments
yourself. But don't worry. There is nothing wrong with your TV. It is doing exactly what the manufacturer set it to do. That's the problem!
The manufacturer doesn't setup a television to give you the best picture it can. They setup the TV to stand out on harshly lit sales floors. To overcome the
lights, it must be extremely bright. Unfortunately, when you get it under normal lighting in your home, the factory settings are way off.
You can certainly choose to watch it at the factory setting, but that is like always driving your car wound up to the red line. It will probably do it, but it will shorten the life of the engine. The
factory settings can actually shorten the life of your picture tube.
The extreme brightness of the factory setting also causes colors to be so bright that they actually
bleed over their borders or "bloom". This reduces your picture's resolution. |
